Lecture on Responsible Business Practices for SMEs

Belgrade, July 12, 2018 – In the premises of Smart Kolektiv, the first in a series of lectures for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was held, with the aim of presenting CSR trends and inspiring them to establish similar practices in their businesses.

The lecturer and Executive Director of the Responsible Business Forum, Neven Marinović, held a presentation in which he presented and explained the work of the Forum, as well as the basic principles followed by its members. The emphasis was put on the topic of responsible business and the incorporation of the basic principles of CSR into the operations of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Representatives of these enterprises have shared the problems they are facing during the search for suitable personnel to perform various activities, and some of the biggest challenges are how to acquire quality workforce and how to keep such a person in the company. Maintaining a program of professional internships is a one way to reach educated young people and to invest in their development and at the same time in the development of the company.

The activity was realized by the Responsible Business Forum and Smart Kolektiv, with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in coalition with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Trag Foundation, Catalyst Foundation, Serbian Philanthropic Forum and Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
