Meeting of the RBF Working Group Regarding Employability
Belgrade, August 30, 2018 – Members of the Working Group of the Responsible Business Forum gathered in the premises of ManpowerGroup Serbia, with the aim of defining key topics for the following period, which are: employability and empowerment of young people. In the introductory part of the meeting, members had the opportunity to get acquainted with the global analysis of ManpowerGroup – Talent Shortage Survey, which deals with professions for which employers are most difficult to find employees.
Existing programs dealing with this topic were presented: Coca-Cola Youth Empowered, Coke Summership, Rise, Future for A, as well as potential proposals for the companys’ collaboration within these programs.
The group will meet quarterly and the chair will be Jovana Paljić, Community Executive from Coca-Cola HBC Serbia, while Marija Stevanović, People and Culture Specialist from ManpowerGroup Serbia was chosen as co-chair.
The Executive Office of the Forum conducted a survey aimed at defining the missing skills of young people that apply for internship programs or working positions in member companies. The results showed that more than 70% of companies think that young people do not have the expertise and the wider competencies necessary for performing the jobs they are applying for.
